Tips for successful renewal
• Don’t wait until the last minute to renew! Renew early.
• If you have any questions during your renewal, call us at 1-844-885-1004.
• If you need to send in documents, don’t send original copies of important documents.
• Never ignore a letter from LDSS, even if you recently renewed. Sometimes, LDSS needs more information to make a decision or needs a family to renew before a year has passed.
• If you get a deferral or denial notice, call us right away to avoid losing your benefits.
• NYSOH members: Please make sure you follow up with NYSOH to make sure nothing else is needed from you to complete your renewal.
